The Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission (previously known as CrimTrac) is an Australian government criminal intelligence and investigation agency.
The ACIC is focused on strengthening and facilitating the relationship between police and law enforcement agencies across all states and territories nationally. The ACIC provides services, such as the National Police Checking Service (NPCS), whereby organisations accredited by ACIC (such as Certsy) can access accurate and comprehensive police history information, with the consent of the applicant.
More information on the ACIC and the NPCS can be found on their website.
