An accredited body is an organisation that has been assessed and approved by the Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission, to assist individuals in applying for and submitting a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check. Accredited bodies have been entrusted with access to the National Police Checking Service (the Service), to submit applications and retrieve results. Accredited bodies must ensure they follow procedure and adhere to security and privacy requirements in order to be able to maintain access to the Service.
