Is my personal information safe with the ACIC?
Yes. The ACIC is exempt from the Privacy Act, however the National Police Checking Service has been designed with a focus on protecting your privacy. The confidentiality and privacy of your information is a priority for the ACIC, and accredited bodies like Certsy are required to be compliant with the Australian Privacy Principles. As part of this, the ACIC ensures that Certsy meets the requirements of certain principles, which set out how accredited bodies must safely:
- collect personal information
- disclose personal information
- store and manage personal information
- dispose of personal information
As an accredited body, Certsy must publish a privacy policy, which outlines how your personal information will be handled, collected, stored and disclosed. To view our privacy policy in detail, please visit our Privacy page.
