In order to provide credential verification services, Certsy is authorised to access several government authorities and databases to verify personal information and identity documentation.
Certsy is an accredited body with the Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission (ACIC), authorised to access the National Police Checking Service (NPCS) in order to submit police checks on behalf of individuals. In order to provide this service, Certsy is required to share key personal information (obtained by Certsy in the application process) with the ACIC. This information includes but is not limited to: name details, date of birth, address history and identity documentation details.
To verify whether an individual is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), Certsy accesses the online register of practitioners on the AHPRA website. The register contains accurate, up-to-date information about the registration status of all registered health practitioners in Australia.
The Document Verification Service (DVS) is a national online system that allows authorised organisations like Certsy to compare a customer's identifying information with the official record holder or issuer. It is a secure system that operates 24/7 and matches key details contained on Australian-issued identifying credentials, providing a 'yes' or 'no' answer within seconds. Certsy uses the DVS to verify the identity information provided by individuals using our service.
The Visa Entitlement Verification Online (VEVO) provides an online service to check visa details and conditions quickly and easily. Certsy uses VEVO to verify the visas and working conditions of individuals who apply to verify their right to work in Australia.
